What's your favorite type music?
90's! Any and all of it! Oh, and Latin too. I love singing in Spanish! I've got a pretty eclectic taste, and I think that comes from performing with so many different groups. One night I'll be singing traditional Jazz and the next it's acapella covers. My Spotify list is pretty weird!
Best moment as a DJ?
When a groom first sees his bride walking down the aisle, and then he starts to get emotional. I could just melt! It's always the groom or the bride's father that lose it. The ladies are usually keep it together... until the toasts.
When you're not DJ'ing, you are...
I'm usually teaching voice lessons. I have over forty voice students, so that takes up a lot of my time. But, I absolutely love teaching! I also perform several times a week with my Jazz and vocal groups around New Orleans. Come find me on Frenchman Street!
What's something people might not know about you?
I speak four foreign languages - Spanish, German, Italian and French. I lived in Germany for a year when I was in school, and I spent a lot of time in Mexico too. Plus, when I'm singing operas, most are written in another language. So, rather than just memorize the lyrics, I learn the language.
