What's your favorite type music?

I love 70's funk and soul! I'm also a closet Disco freak! Earth, Wind & Fire is probably my favorite band of all time. I've played "September" a thousand times, but I never get sick of it. It's just one of those "feel good" songs.

Best moment as a DJ?

Wow, there have been so many! I think seeing a bride & groom in the middle of a packed dance floor having the time of their lives. That's the best! I give it my all to make sure everything is perfect, so it's just a great payback when I have a happy couple.

How did you get your start?

My wife, Monica, and I were on vacation in Destin and we "stumbled" into a wedding. I was mesmerized by the DJ. He was doing his introductions, pumping the crowd, playing some really great music, and everyone was so into it. I thought to myself, "I can do that!". I already had a really good understanding of what goes into a wedding from my years as a drummer in cover bands. I didn't go in totally blind! That's how Nightshift Sounds Entertainment was born!

When you're not DJ'ing, you are...

In those rare moments of spare time, I like to float in the pool with Monica on Sundays and sip Mojitos or some other festive pool cocktail. It's my time to relax and recharge.

Something we don't know about you?

I'm a pretty damn good chef! Beef Wellington, Asian pot stickers, authentic Cajun Jambalaya, Ahogada Torta and New York-style pizza are my specialties (I make my own dough and sauce from scratch). My wife and I are big-time foodies!
